Several online dictionaries of German from publishing houses or published by academic institutions are introduced representing a wide range of possible presentations of lexico-graphic information on the Internet. The examples also illustrate how modem dictionaries profit from a corpus-based approach, how information on headwords can be presented in an innovative way and how the contact with the dictionary user can be established. Research into dictionary usage is also ex-amined briefly. A short outlook on the possible future of German lexicography rounds off the survey given here.}, language = {de} }
