N2 - A case negotiated by the European Court is taken as an example for the construction of facts of the matter being closely interlinked with reflections on language. Working out the statements about the matter/issue seems to be identical with finding out an adequate linguistic description. It follows from this that the court can improve its descriptions/interpretations by taking into account as many languages as possible. The court takes as its aim to consider as many interpretations of the facts as possible, in order to make the judgement as safe as possible. According to this strategy it seems inefficient to reduce the number of European languages to be taken into account by the court. All European languages should be equally considered.
