N2  - Die Fallanalyse untersucht vier Gesprächsausschnitte und verdeutlicht ihren Aufbau aus funktionalen Einheiten. Sie beschreibt die bei ihrer Produktion angewandten Formulierungsverfahren und leitet so die in den Gesprächsbeiträgen vorfindbaren grammatischen Besonderheiten (u.a. Korrekturen, Verbspitzenstellung, „elliptische“ Äußerungsformate) aus den Produktionsbedingungen gesprochener Sprache sowie den Zwecken ihrer situationsspezifischen Verwendung her. Zentral für die Analyse ist, das Bedeutungspotenzial zu bestimmen, das – neben dem sukzessiven Aufbau der verbalen Bedeutung – durch die Art und Weise der Hervorbringung der Äußerungen (z.B. Formulierungsschwierigkeiten, Pausen, Intonation) kommuniziert wird. Die grammatische Struktur wird damit als eine Ressource zur Interpretation der Gesprächsbeiträge genutzt.
N2  - This case study examines sections of four conversations and illustrates how they are constructed from functional units. It describes the formulation processes used in their production and thus traces any unusual grammatical features to be found in the conversations (including corrections, verb fronting, “elliptical” utterances) back to the production conditions of spoken language and to the purpose of their use in specific situations. A central aim of the analysis is to determine the semantic potential, which – in addition to the successive construction of the verbal meaning – is communicated by the manner in which the utterances are produced (e.g. problems of formulation, pauses, intonation). The grammatical structure is used as a resource for interpreting the conversational turns.
